ADA Compliance Message
The City of Frostproof website is undergoing modifications to provide enhanced access to documents for disabled individuals who are visually impaired and to comply with the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to make reasonable accommodations. While these modifications are being made many documents have been removed. If you would like to obtain a document not currently provided on the website, please contact our City Clerk, Nicole McDowell at (863) 635-7854 or nmcdowell@cityoffrostproof.com. Free Tax Help — February 1 to April 16, 2018                                                

For those who need it most—There is no age requirement and AARP membership is not required.

Latt Maxcy Memorial Library–FrostproofAARP Volunteer Tax-Aide’s 34th year in Frostproof Electronic filing is a requirement; we do not prepare “paper” returns.** Direct Deposit of Refund** is recommended.

WE ONLY PREPARE PERSONAL RETURNS, NOT BUSINESS RETURNS. Some returns are “out of scope” for us, for example: rental income, depreciation, Schedule C forms with personal business inventory or loss, bankruptcy, foreign student returns, some retirement income, many K-1 statements and more. If MARRIED-FILING-JOINTLY both taxpayers must be in attendance or a power of attorney may be required.

 We reserve the right to stop accepting clients on any given day in order to complete returns in the time allowed.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ALL OF THE FORMS WE NEED TO PREPARE YOUR RETURN COMPLETELY AND ACCURATELY, WE WILL ASK YOU TO COME BACK WHEN YOU HAVE EVERYTHING NEEDED.

 What to Bring: A) Last year’s tax return. B) Copies of ALL W-2, 1099 Forms and proof of other income received by you and your spouse. C) Social Security Cards or Individual Tax Identification (ITIN) Cards or ITIN letters for you, your spouse, and for any other persons shown on the tax return (dependents.) D) Valid Picture I.D. for taxpayer—and spouse (if married filing jointly) E) Bank check or documented routing information for direct deposit of your tax refund. F) Bring health insurance coverage information for you, your spouse and all dependents, including the following forms if you received them: 1095-A (insurance purchased through the marketplace), 1095-B (other insurers), or form 1095-C (employer provided insurance). If you do not have full year coverage, bring information on monthly coverage. Bring any health care exemption letters or certificates received from the IRS or the Marketplace.
